Superintendent

Nancy A. Banks joined the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services in 2014 after spending 30-plus years working in the developmental disabilities field.

Prior to joining MCBDDS, Nancy spent four years as Superintendent of the Montgomery Developmental Center, a 98-bed state-operated residential center for adults with developmental disabilities, where she oversaw 185 staff and a budget of $17 million. She also served as the facility's Program Director for a year.

Nancy spent 26 years working in a variety of capacities at Stillwater Center, a 99-bed Intermediate Care Facility owned by Montgomery County. Her experience includes positions as Professional Services Manager, Therapeutic Program Coordinator (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) and Social Worker.  
 
Nancy currently serves on the Board of the Brighter Tomorrow Foundation, and served as a court-appointed special advocate in Miami and Montgomery counties representing children who were in the court system due to abuse and neglect. She also served on the advisory board for New Hope Villa.
 
She earned a Master of Arts in Management from Antioch-McGregor University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Work from Miami University.  She is also a graduate of Leadership Dayton.
