Delays and Closings

Announcements for closings or delays of MCBDDS programs and facilities will begin as early as possible, and will be shared on the Board's website homepage AND through opt-in text and email messages available through the website.  These alerts may be supplemented with announcements to radio and TV stations and local media.

Facility Hours of Operation


As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the offices of the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services are temporarily closed to the public. Although the buildings are closed, agency staff continue to work remotely, providing services to people with developmental disabilities.

Opening/Closing Policies

PLAN A:  All Facilities Open, but operating on a delay

  • All facilities are open, but will operate on a One or Two hour delay.

  • Should a Plan A be called by the Superintendent, staff will report to work at the time the One or Two hour delay expires.  Refer to Delays and Closings Procedure VII.22.
      

PLAN B: All Facilities Closed

  • All Board programs and facilities closed.
  • No Board staff or consumers are to report.
