Voices Matter

Voices Matter is a community-based self-advocacy group sponsored by the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services.  The group meets the fourth Thursday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at various locations throughout the community. For information about the group or meetings, contact Tammy Brooks at 937-918-2131. You can also email voicesmatter@mcbdds.org.

Voices Matter collaborates with other organizations on projects, and organizes a yearly Self-Advocacy Conference with the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities' self-advocacy group for people with developmental disabilities.  Its members also speak to community groups, service providers, peers and members of the media on disability-related issues.

The group has also created a blog.
