SALT TEEN TALKS: January Series – What Does Independent Living Look Like?
Tuesday, January 18, 2022
The School to Adult Life Transition Series (SALT) is a monthly series of webinars designed to help students with developmental disabilities and their families navigate the transition from school to adult life. There are two sets of webinars—one for families, and one for teens themselves—and each provides resources and guidance on topics ranging from future planning and services to employment and independent living.
Family webinars are held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and the second Wednesday of each month. SALT TEENS talks are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m., and offer opportunities for students and young adults ages 14-22 to meet virtually, socialize and have fun while learning about important topics related to independent living.
