Many of people have reached out to the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services, asking how they can help people affected by the recent tornadoes. We now have an Emergency Relief Fund set up to help the 179 individuals with developmental disabilities who suffered damage to their homes and personal property in Montgomery County.
The purpose of this fundraising effort to provide these individuals with start-up funds for new housing; to help them replace some of their personal belongings; and to offset some of the unexpected costs from the storms, including hotel fees, spoiled groceries, and more. We have established a fund through The Dayton Foundation called “The Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services Emergency Fund 8345” that will allow people to make donations via credit card or U.S. Mail.
