  • Ritchey Center: 937-837-9200

Individuals with emergencies after hours can call our 24-hour emergency line at 937-457-2765.

Precautionary Measures

Given the concerns that exist about the potential for the rapid spread of the disease, however, we ask the following:

If you are ill or have flu-like symptoms that could be Coronavirus and have an appointment with a County Board staff member, please contact that person and let them know as soon as possible. They will work with you to reschedule at a time when you are feeling better. Likewise, if anyone in your household or other persons you have been in contact with (friends, staff, family members, etc.) have flu-like symptoms, including a fever, we ask that you reschedule any appointments with MCBDDS staff.

PACE Early Intervention: Please inform us prior to your appointment if anyone in your home is ill or has flu-like symptoms that could be Coronavirus so that we can reschedule for a time when you are feeling better. PACE services may also be provided via televisits to families who are interested in receiving services via technology.

Mental Health: The Mental Health Services team is happy to change your upcoming psychiatric appointment to a telehealth (video) session if you are ill. Please call the office at 937-457-2753 at your earliest convenience and we will adjust your appointment as needed. We can also send you a link and you will be able to access your telehealth appointment via your smartphone or computer. If your appointment is with a mental health therapist, we will have the therapist call and touch base with you via the telephone until you are well enough to be seen again.

Recreation: To ensure safety and minimize Coronavirus exposure for everyone, MCBDDS has cancelled its Recreation activities through at least Sunday, April 5.

Postponements and Cancellations: For information about other event cancellations or postponements, visit https://www.mcbdds.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=212 . Should other MCBDDS activities and services require updates, we will alert people via text and email message. If you are not signed up for alerts, we urge you to do so by visiting www.mcbdds.org/list.aspx. Information will be posted to our website, which is now fully accessible per WCAG 2.0 guidelines at www.mcbdds.org.

We will continue to share information about this important subject as our local health agencies provide updates. Please remember that the best source of local Coronavirus information is Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County’s website: https://www.phdmc.org/coronavirus-updates.

Thank you for your diligence and support.
