    Join the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services as it celebrates the lives, stories and contributions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a special exhibit at the Dayton Metro Library Vandalia Branch. LEARN how people with intellectual and developmental disabilities contribute to our community through employment, volunteerism and their talents. SEE amazing works created by artists with disabilities. UNDERSTAND how the use of language affects how people with disabilities are perceived. FAMILIARIZE yourself with the services offered by the County Board and other organizations that help people with developmental disabilities live productive and rewarding lives. TAP INTO the library's collection of materials created by--and about--people with disabilities.

  2. Coping with Grief Support Group for Individuals

    August 23, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Southview Center

    The Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services' Mental Health Supports and Services Program will host a Coping with Grief Group every Thursday at Southview Center, 25 Thorpe Dr., Dayton, 45429 in Room 61. This is an ongoing program available to any individual receiving services who has experienced grief and loss, such as an injury or disability, loss of a loved one or pet, job loss, or change or transition. Consumers may join this group at any time, but should note it is a 12 week commitment. For questions or to sign up, contact Patty Watkins at 937-457-2753 or pwatkins@mcbdds.org.
