Whether it's a fire, weather or violent intruder hazard, the Department of Developmental Disabilities expects agencies to have appropriate response plans and procedures in place. Are you prepared? Training participants will receive a flash drive containing over 60 ‘take and use’ resources. Through active discussion, demonstration, and hands-on activities participants will learn how to assess hazards, and competently prepare themselves and others to respond to fire, weather and violent intruder emergencies; discover inexpensive, readily obtainable tools that can be used to reduce risk and harm in emergency situations; learn how to make their Emergency Response policies and procedures more relevant, implementable, and compliant with DODD and CMS rule.
